LIFE is a devised puppetry show aimed children aged 7-12. It followed a single characters medical life from birth to death. It aimed to make the medical world less scary through the use of puppetry, large oversized props, soft fabrics and humour. We as puppeteers had an active role as the puppets medical team throughout, showing the importance of teamwork, collaboration, care and empathy.
LIFE aimed to be an accessible, non-verbal show, with a focus on creative captioning for D-deaf audiences and emphasis on visual storytelling.
My role was to lead a small team to devise, build and perform the show. I created a series of props and puppets in collaboration with team members.
